Hello Everyone!

What a GREAT first week it has been!! :-) I have loved these first 3 days and getting to know the new swimmers and seeing the new team dynamics forming. I have also been able to meet 1:1 with the swimmers and have goal-setting meetings. I am even more excited about the season after seeing what purposeful and insightful goals your swimmers have for the season/school year! 

I will be sending out updates on Friday afternoons instead of Sundays in an effort to be a little more present at home on the weekends. :-) Plus, we have so many Friday meets and I can condense meet results/reflections into one email. 

For the week ahead-we are ready to get in the pool and start practicing. HERE is our calendar for your reference. Nothing has changed since I last sent it out but I wanted to make sure everyone has it. 

For Monday and Tuesday morning at the pool: 

• Please be on time. Everyone needs to be in the pool area at 6:45 am. 
• Bring all of your equipment/new equipment. 
• If you are getting ready at school, don't forget your: shampoo/conditioner/soap/deodorant/lotion/make-up/undergarments and clothes for the school day as well as shoes/shower towel. If your swimmer did not bring their lock today, they must bring it Monday. You do not want to leave those things unlocked. 
• We haven't had rain in 100 days and now it's here!! I will send out all alerts via Swimtopia and Groupme if we have to make any adjustments for Monday morning.

This coming week we also have our first fundraising opportunity with the Varsity Football game concessions!! The date for this is Thursday, August 25th. The volunteer opportunities are open on the website. Many of you already volunteered and you have been put in a slot. Please check the events page and the job sign-up. We still need several more volunteers so please consider giving your time. This will be one of the times where we will need any/all parents to be involved! :-) 

Finally, school pictures are Tuesday, August 23/Wednesday, August 24 through English Classes. Info for how to order pictures is in the LHS Insider and on the LHS website.
