Hello Everyone!

Another great week is done!! The meet last night was a huge success and a huge part of that is all the hard work of your swimmers this week! There were so many great swims (and again lifetime bests), great technique, and team pride! We got lots of compliments from the other coaches and several swimmers/parents from other teams about our technique and hospitality. And, another huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers!! From tents, lights, concessions, timing, etc., we cannot run these successful meets without you. Get ready for the October 7th meet - it will be a big one for us!! :-) 

Looking at the week ahead: 

• Make sure your swimmers get some rest this weekend and are organized for the week. :-) This coming week will be the first one where we have 5 full days of swim practice, AND it's the end of the grading cycle on Friday. So far everyone seems to be doing well and is on track. Remember, if a swimmer fails a cycle they will sit out for 3 weeks. To regain eligibility, they must be passing ALL classes at the 3-week mark, not just the one(s) they failed. This means they could miss several big meets. So, please check HAC with your swimmer this weekend. HERE is the practice/event schedule again. 
• We are gearing up for Homecoming Week!! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 24th at 4:30 pm! Float decorations will be happening and we need your labor/help! :-) We will be meeting in the church parking lot at 2101 Bagdad Rd right near Leander HS. Even if you can't be there right at 4:30, it will take some time so come on by! We will have drinks (water/Gatorade) and pizza will be served as well! 
• Swimmers need CAMO shirts for the Homecoming parade on Monday, Sept. 26th. You can purchase one for super cheap on Amazon or at Hobby Lobby, or use one you already have. Swimmers will need to "decorate" the shirts so they say LHS Swimming on them so if you use one you have, make sure that's ok!! You can do it on your own or on the float decorating day. 
• Merch Update - Not much to update. We are still waiting on back-ordered swimsuits and all of our shirts. Swimmers got their personalized caps last night and hopefully everything else will be in soon.
