    LHS Swimming-Updates!

    Hi Everyone!

I have some updates for you all! Finally! :-) There are several items and things "to do" so please read carefully.

Below are links to our practice/event calendars:

Make sure to bookmark these or have them somewhere handy. I usually send them in our weekly updates too. :-)

IMPORTANT INFO FOR NITRO MEET December 9th:

    • EVERY volunteer (not spectator) and swimmer MUST have a completed Nitro Waiver. Each swimmer and volunteer must have a separate waiver filled out. When you fill out the waiver, please use your full given name (no nicknames or shortened names) - this is for swimmers and volunteers. This must be completed no later than Tuesday, December 6th. My suggestion is to finish reading this email and get it done. It won't take more than 2 mins. :-) Make sure you verify from the email as well. The waiver is not complete until this is done.

    • Meet INFO HERE
    • Finally, we may need to carpool to this meet! Because "we" are in charge of running this meet, I have to be at the pool earlier than the swimmers are "allowed" to be there and there are some bus issues that morning. I will let you all know by Sunday!

    OTHER UPDATES:

    • Drag week starts next week on Monday, December 6th! :-) All swimmers must wear some sort of "drag" to practice. Running shorts (with a liner), tights, pantyhose, and drag suits are all acceptable. This is not only a tradition but an important part of the season as we work towards our championship meets in January and February. Swimmers should also refrain from shaving their legs during this time too!
    • Holiday Practice is MANDATORY for swimmers who are in town. HERE is a Google Form to fill out for attendance. Swimmers who do not swim at all during this time typically do not perform well at District/Region meets. Taking that much time out of the water disrupts the training cycle. If you have plans to be out of town the entire break, please email me so we can discuss options for your swimmer to work out.

That's all for now!! Stay healthy and sane as we finish out the 1st semester!! :-) And as always, THANK YOU for sharing your swimmers with me every day!
