Hello Everyone!

I hope you all have had a great weekend! Spring is definitely in the air and I am so excited that warmer weather is just around the corner (after another cold snap and some crazy rainstorms because this is Texas after all...). :-) 

This week we are back in the pool! YAY! We will be swimming at BHC at 7:15 am Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be Study Hall days in my classroom. HERE is the calendar again. 

Just a couple of reminders about "off-season":

1. This is still a class and attendance is required. I understand the convenience of using this time for appointments, tutoring, or for "getting things done", but we are still a Varsity sport and swim season is truly year around. We will be having some fun for sure, but we will also be working out, working on technique, and team bonding. 

2. Communication is always important and that aspect of swimming (especially with me) never goes away. If your swimmer will be missing practice due to an appointment, they need to let me know before the morning of so I am not messaging them wondering if they are ok. 

3. Tutoring should not be a reason to miss practice. We have at least 2 days of full study hall each week those are the days that should be used for extra help. As always, if there is an extenuating circumstance, swimmers should communicate with me before the morning of practice. 

4. Flex schedules will need to be "revamped" after Spring Break as we move into the Long Course season. I will work with swimmers and families when we return. This week, everyone needs to attend all 3 days.
